Three traveling elves came upon an inn one night, and asked a small hobbit who worked there for a room. The hobbit said of course, that will be thirty gold coins. So each elf gives the hobbit ten gold coins.Well the hobbit takes the money to the master inn keeper; who then tells the hobbit that he had charged to much, and he must take five coins back to the elves. So as the hobbit took the five coins back he realized that he didn't know how to divide five into three. So he gives the elves each a coin back, and keeps the other to coins. In the end elf pays nine gold coins, they piad ten at first and got one back therefor each elf only paid nine coins. But the hobbit only kept two coins ( nine times three is 27, plus 2 is only 29 ) what happened to the other coin.
